Below is a description of a series of geologic events.  On the worksheet (I-5), sketch a block that could represent this description.  We have an important suggestion:  draw a rough draft on your own scratch paper first.

1.  Layers were deposited.

2.  The block was then offset by a vertical dip-slip fault such that the back half of the block was pushed up.

3.  These faulted layers were then intruded by a dike, and the uplifted block was eroded down to the level of the other block.
