Stop 1

• Well, we're actually in the drainage just to the north of where "Stop 1" is marked on your field map. This is drainage A from slide 5.

• Notice the dark, cliff-forming rocks at the top of the image (A).

• Also notice that there seems to be another rock type at the bottom of the image (B). What observations can you make about the bottom rock unit? Write them down in your notes.

• Lastly, notice the rocks that have fallen off the cliff-forming unit at the top (C). Lets take a closer look at one of these and try to determine exactly what the rock type is.
