Great class - idea of combining field mapping with remote
sensing was excellent. Steve did a wonderful job teaching. I
felt I learned enormous amounts of relevant geological concepts
and improved my mapping ability 80-100%. He needs to learn some
Prince songs.
Great class. Really great instructor.
Steve is extremely well-organized and good at explaining difficult
concepts. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable in field techniques
and analysis, and his tough grading helps to challenge each of
the students to do their best work. I feel I learned a lot in
this class, and I am extremely glad that I took it.
Prof. Reynolds is the best teacher in the department - always
interesting, informative, enthusiastic, concise, challenging -
a pleasure to be in his class, no matter the subject.
Steve did a great job organizing and running this field oriented
class. His technique for grading assignments was thoughtful and
thorough. Especially impressive was his attention to grammar
and rhetoric details in grading written assignments.
Great course in a tough area. I think a little more checking
on students progress in understanding the geology of the area
is needed.
