Analysis 3 – Why We Construct Topographic Profiles

In this analysis, you will construct topographic profiles to better visualize slopes and the shape of the land.  If you could slice through a portion of the earth, and look at it from the side, you would be looking at a profile of the surface.  Constructing profiles helps when analyzing environmental problems related to unstable slopes.
