To explore Painted Canyon, you need to traverse across the land and not get lost. You will locate key features on a topographic map, and use the topographic map of Painted Canyon to determine which areas have gentle enough slopes to establish a base camp.
After your first week in Painted Canyon, you are ready to begin exploring this place to see what your new home is like. To do this, you will need to find yourself on a topographic map so you don’t get lost and can record the location of interesting things you find.
